Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Licensed School Counselor to join Intermediate District 287 for the 2026-2027 school year!

 

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Position Details:

Location: Care & Treatment program located in Hopkins, MN

FTE: 1.0 FTE

Start Date: New Staff Orientation begins August 25, 2026

Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $51,349 - 101,853 (depending on experience and education)

Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
• Advanced Degree in counseling or closely related field from an accredited college or University.
• Two (2) years professional level experience working with special education or At-Risk students, preferred.
• School Counselor’s License issued by the Professional Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
